Back in a Mustang after 35 years! 2004 Mach 1 is a blast.

Spent a lot of time in my dad's ''67 and '68 mustangs back in my youth, I, err, restored his 67 rust bucket the summer after high school, but wrecked it a week after the repaint. After driving more practical European hatches (GTIs mostly) for last 30 years I'm finally in the position to get a v8 Mustang again. I was looking for a specialty Mustang, a Bullitt, Mach 1, Cobra or maybe California Special, etc.. I found this torch red Mach 1 nearby, cherished by an older guy, like me, in beautiful shape with only 32k miles. Compared to today's coyote it's a bit down on power, but 305 hp is plenty of fun. The dohc 4v motor just screams, solid axle is a bit crude on bumps, but it's great for laying rubber, it's a hooligan machine. The shaker hood is kind of absurd, but it just puts a smile on my face every time I look at it. It's great to be back.
