Just picked up a project 91 notch back in Nov 2015. Started as a 4 cylinder i saw a few years ago as a rolling chassis. From what I'm told some retired mechanic was converting it for some kid at some hourly rate to a V8 5spd. Project never finished because of money troubles, was sold to another kid before me. He didn't know anything other than 5.0 engine, tranny and rear end already been swapped in.
Right now i just want to see if anyone can help identify the engine. I traced the spark plug wires and seems like its a 302 HO based on the way spark plugs are wired to dizzy. Wondering if anyone to find out if it has a roller cam or not.
If anyone can let me know that would be great, or if anyway i can check. Weather been crappy and cars outdoors, so i haven't had chance to find
any casting numbers on the block.
Also what the thing is in the yellow circle marked 1. Going to have a lot of questions...
