BACK UP LIGHT HARNESS?

i JUST REMOVED EVERYTHING UNDER THE CAR FOR THE T-5 SWAP FROM THE AOD.I NOTICED THE NEW T-5 transmission HAS TWO SWITCHES ON IT. ONE ON THE FRONT LEFT HAND CORNER WITH A HARNESS ON IT ALREADY AND ONE BELOW IT WITH TWO PRONGS(PROBABLY FOR THE BACK UP LIGHTS). WHAT HARNESS DO I NEED TO HOOK UP THAT FRONT SWITCH WITH THE HARNESS ALREADY ON IT. WHAT IS THAT SWITCH FOR? IT WILL NOT HOOK UP TO THE HARNESS UNDER THE CAR BY THE VSS SWITCH.
i ORDERED THE BACK UP LIGHT HARNESS FROM FORD, STILL WAITING FOR IT.E7ZZ-155525-A. WHERE DOES THAT CONNECT TO AFTER MOUNTING IT ON THE TRANS?

ALSO SHOULD I LEAVED THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH DISCONNECTED UNDER THE DASH BY THE CLUTCH PEDAL. LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER PITA TO HOOK UP WITH EVERYTHING IN PLACE NOW. I SEE THE TWO HARNESSES FOR IT, ONE WITH THE JUMPER WIRE IN IT. SHOULD I JUST LEAVE IT AS IS. DON'T REALLY NEED IT!!!

I'm amazed you found that backup harness , I called every FORD dealer in the area and they told me it was discontinued and no longer stocked . just leave all that NSS crap alone and just jumper the two wires in the trans tunnel together .

YOU WERE RIGHT!! THAT HARNESS IS DISCONTINUED THRU FORD. ANYWAY, WHEN YOU INSTALLED YOUR T-5 DID YOU HAVE TO CUT THE FLOORBOARD OPENING LARGER SO THE T-5 WOULD FIT? THERE IS AN ARTICLE IN A 5.0 MAGAZINE WHICH SHOWS THE MECHANIC CUTTING THE FLOOR OPENING AT THE TOP SO THE TRANS WOULD FIT. I SPOKE TO A FEW GUYS IN MY AREA AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NO PROBLEMS AND DIDN'T CUT ANYTHING. I'M INSTALLING A PRO5.0 SHIFTER ON THE TRANS.

I didn't have to cut any metal to make room, its been like 5 years since i did my conversion but i did remember that the harness was reversed and I had to cut it and connect it myself. I got the neutral safety switch working no problem as well, and I think it is nice to have.
