now that i think back to when it started, i put a different plenum and IAC on my car. its not the original IAC from my car. could it be making it pop? my car idles cold 750-800 and the same hot. it makes me angry i cant even downshift my car without people running and ducking. its like i got a .50 cal on the back of teh stang

I don't think there's anything wrong with your car. Backfires are a natural byproduct of O/R pipes.

hes my best friend, and i have the same exhaust, i have no back firering at all, not even a little pop.... his are BACKFIRES, not exhaust crackle, we will have to make a video...
