backfiring really loud

my friends tell me when i get on it backfires really loud i guess. he said it sounded like a shootgun goin off. thats how loud it is, i got an o/r h pipe with flows. running rich?

Make sure you have your spark plug wires on right. I know it sounds stupid, but that happened to me on my v6. lol

i have the same setup and mine does it sometimes when i get on it and get the rpm's high up when im shifting into my next gear.. someone told me it was the o/r h-pipe

With the off-road pipe if you are running rich then the unburnt fuel can spark.. and kaboom! As long as the car is running fine its probaly unburnt gas. See if you can shoot flames next time

Its common i hear. I heard the ls1 is even worse.

haha ok probley can disconnectin the mufflers.

I have an o/r x pipe and no mufflers at the moment. Of course I don't drive it...but when I take it around the block, it backfires a lot...I love it =). I wanna see if there are any flames!

Mine was doing the same thing, seems like after I got it tuned it stopped doing it though.
