I'm thinking od running torque thrust D's on my 67 coop with 3/4 of a coil cut and the shelby drop mod. I understand they only come with a 3 3/4 backspace but I'm hearing these stick out too far. I'm thinking of running 225/60/15 front and 245/60/15. Anyone like to post some pics of their setup (tire size, backspacing) I looked at dodgestangs chart and it is helpful but I'd like to see what these different set-ups look like like. Thanks.

my 17x7's are 4" backspace... this is the factory standard for 7" wheels. i have 225 45 17's mounted on a 65, and the fit is perfect.

You are correct, that the original American Racing Torq-Thrust D's, 15" X 7" only come in 3.75" backspacing. That being said, I fit 225/50/15 on my '65 with minor fender wheel well lip grinding.
