(waiting for the massive burns i will probobly be getting... i know my rt was absolutly horrible and im kicking myself for it)

Unless you're doing some real racing where reaction time matters, don't worry about that. You wanna focus on your 60 foot times...that's where you really lose ET is if you're pounding the throttle off the line. What kind of 60s did you run? I would guess 2.3 or higher? If so then your car is much faster...you just need practice

Yeah...that's your #1 enemy is the launch. I know what you mean about nerves though....my first pass was on a friday night and the stands were PACKED, the sun had just gone down and as soon as i pulled up to the trees it was like a movie, the lights lit up going down the track, and there was a 10 second coupe in the next lane that I WAS GOING TO TAKE DOWN!!! 15.7...lol. But, just to show you what can be gained, i haven't done a whole lot to my car since that first pass, and it's down to 14.25 now, and i'm still killing the tires in 2nd and 3rd.

See that's kinda how i think when i'm at the track...i know i can launch on the street at a red light and be out of the hole like a rocket...just remember though that on street tires you actually get less traction at the strip than you do at the track (or at least that's my experience). Also, ignore what's happening in the other lane....on test and tune you're just about always going to have someone faster in the other lane...don't get excited that the guy over there is blowing your doors off and step on the gas to try to keep up.

Man starting in 2nd defeats the purpose of having 4.10s!

Man Cincinnati is the place for Mustangs.... http://stangbangerz.com/ check out the forums...we have cruise ins 3 times a year!

LOL, 215/60/15s and 60% bald on my best pass with 4.10s. First, don't over do the burnout, but make sure the tires are smoking....avoid the water box because you just sling water up into your fender wells and then that drips down on the tires while you're at the light...drive around the water box, and look for a nice smooth patch to burnout on and try to get your tires on that. When you launch, don't just drop the hammer...you've gotta ride the clutch and feather the gas a little to get it out without breaking the tires loose. It's tricky but can be done with practice. Don't launch above 2k RPM untill you really have a feeling for slipping the clutch and feathering the gas. I've seen guys launch street tire cars at 4k but still manage to keep the tires from ripping loose...i'm not that good yet though so i launch around 2k.
