I have been having problems with my brakes calipers not releasing in the front the pedal gets real stiff and the calipers stick to the point that rotors start getting hot and smoking and I have keep pulling off the road to let them cool down. I have no idea where to start looking. That first time it happened was about 2 months ago and I bleed the brakes in the front and that seemed to help but now it has done it twice in the last couple days. Any help would be great.

are both sides or is it just one side if it just one then put a new caliper on and that will fix the problem but if it both may need a new master for it

thats your master cylinder. i just changed mine. i was about six blocks from
home when my brakes started tightening up. by the time i pulled about half
way into my driveway i couldnt move the car even in first gear. my brakes
were so hot the rubber cover on the outer tie-rods started burning. there
were flames coming out from under the car. i ran to get the front water hose
and couldnt get the water on. panic time. i ran into the house and got some
water in a pot and put them out.it was funny, later!
