My 94 GT was overheating so I popped the hood and noticed a slow drip coming from the firewall weep hole where the heater core is. I assumed I had found the issue and bypassed it. After doing so the car still overheated, so i did the thermostat and that kept it under control.

Now thinking back on it it was a very small trickle and i dont remember seeing any green tinting to the liquid The car was running hot and the A/C was on. There was NO leakage into the passenger compartment.

Could this have just been condensation from a HOT heater core and the frigid air that my car graces me with? Or is this defiantly a bad heater core. I defiantly dont want to replace it unless i have too.

Please share your thoughts.

If you're dripping from the evaporator, your AC is working as intended. You'll always get some dripping in a hot climate as the AC removes humidity from the air.
