I was driving down the road not even getting on it when I heard a loud bang, followed by loud rattling in my valve covers. The car just quickly died right after. When I got the car home and took the valve covers off 3 rockers snapped off the studs on the passengers side.

I have stud mounted edlebrock heads with scorpion rockers, no noise prior to this and the car was running awesome!! What could have caused this on a motor with about 1000 miles on it?

Should I pull the heads off and fix or can I leave them on?

same thing happened to me last year all at once i heard loud knocking i could feel it hitting vc drivers side 2nd rocker from front of car was hitting vc then it stopped i figured what happen. So i drove car a couple miles home oil pressure was fine just felt like i was down a cylinder. After researching online i found out AFR heads were prone to break rocker studs, so I ordered up some ARP studs problem solved. I would at the very least check all the pushrods but really for 3 to break all at once worries me?
