BAD NEWS..NEED HELP !!

so on my way home tonight my upper intake cracked and coolant everywere. WTF, i spent all day waxing her and cleaning for the races tonight. Well all the more reason to buy a new engine. WERE CAN I GET A PI for a good price. OR a cobra..?? Please help guys !

A new PI manifold w/aluminum crossover is around $160-180.

Unsure if this can be used on a 96-98's heads. It says it requires PI heads. Good excuse to buy a set of PI heads and cams and do a full PI swap.

That's basically like buying a PI engine without having to actually buy a new engine

what HP am I looking at with the PI cams, heads and intake, also with the heads wont I need new valve covers ?

Approx 265HP give or take

The 96-98 pistons offer higher compression than the 99-04 pistons with the PI head. That gives it a bump of a couple more HP over a 99-04 pi engine. Downside is you may need to run 89 octane due to the compression bump.

I don't beleive you need new VC's, but i could be wrong.

Do a search for threads on the PI swap. There have been quite a few that list every part you need to do it.

You could even buy bare PI heads and toss in some aftermarket cams for more of a boost.
