Hey guys I believe that I have a bad SAI pump, but I'm not sure. It happens most when I first start the car in the morning, there is a very loud vacuum like noise, almost like a jet engine sound from the front side of the engine, passenger side. It stays on for anywhere from 10-45 seconds then shuts off. Occasionally, when I'm at a red light it comes on for a few seconds then shuts off again.
It seems to have no effect at all on engine performance, as my car runs very strong. Where is the pump actually located and is this an important fix or should I not worry about it? Thanks.
