I'm glad mine has a limiter on it. I launch off it quite a bit at the track.

Never seen a fox that didn't have one, short of a car with an MSD set up and no pill in place.

Seen a few guys with no limiters do damage, and even seen cars with them stick the wrong gear and mess some things up.

Time to get one in there!

Maybe, but it says right on the box it's manufactured by Auto Meter.

mine shifted past the rev limiter on the bottle once. i didnt hit the limiter and it shifted at like 6600, probably wasnt a great idea. But seeing as the stock Tach is far from accurate, i cant say that nik is wrong.

maybe... i will see if i can borrow an autometer and see if its the same..

I always assumed the 6250 rev limiter as well, and although I can't be perfectly accurate, my car definately has a limiter up around that RPM. As does my brothers car, my fathers car did, my sisters car... every fox we have ever owned for that matter.

Also to note, my stock tach is close to 1000 RPM off at the top end. When the dyno operator ran her to 6000, the tach read about 6900. I had a video of it, but can't find it. I shift it around 6500 on the stock tach.

A9L stops the fun at 6250 rpm. Two ways to stop it - one is to chip the car and reset it higher; second is to disconnect the spout and lock the timing in where you want it (32-36 degrees BTDC). If you haven't done either of those then your tach, be it stock or Autometer, is inaccurate.

It is 6250RPM. The Moates Quarterhorse is another way to change it. Kinda of an interactive chip that allows data logging of the EEC-IV. This is what I use and I am 100% positive the rev limiter is set for 6250RPM.
