Is it a bad time to try and sell a mustang or something? I've had mine up for sale for a couple weeks now and not even a nibble. 6 months ago I had people stopping by the house almost on a weekly basis wanting to buy it...go figure.

Oh, and the reason for selling?

Um, well; there's been this little downturn in most peoples' disposable income. Not a lurch in the economy; just this little money-eater called Christmas gift-giving season.

While spending like crazy on presents this year; I found out quite abruptly that I needed a new DD - my 15 year old pickup died the solid death all at once. Had to clean out my savings to make a down payment. Still owe money on the new horse, and now I get to start all over building up the savings account with the added fun of making truck payments for the first time in 10 years.

Anybody that would be looking at your Stang may be in a similar shape  Probably will be a better market in the next month or so.

About 8 years ago I tried to sell my 86 GT Convertible starting in late October. All I got was tire kickers except one guy in mid-December. I was really anxious to sell at that point and nearly gave it away. Of course right after January 1st my phone rang off the hook for about 3 weeks. DOH!!!! :bang:

Have patience!!!

FWIW, when I bought new Sadie (in November), the guy at the dealership (specializes in mustangs) said they sell a lot more cars in the spring/summer than in the fall/winter. In fact, he said if he had gotten new Sadie in at that time, he would have asked a few thousand more for her. As it was, they'd had her for at least a month with no real intrest in her until I showed up.
