Long story short, my engine vibrates when my car idles in my driveway, clutch to the floor.
1. Replaced the damper with a cheap Professional Products one (non sfi app.)
2. Replaced the warped flywheel. helped. but still there.
3. Driveshaft is not the problem, because even with the clutch down and it not spinning, still vibrates.
4. Brand new poly motor mounts
My car had real old gas in it.. i only drove it 700 miles in two years. i just filled it from about 1/8 to 1/2.
I have Heads, Intake, ford b cam. every n/a bolt on possible with stock internals.
The car idles/runs like total **** until its warmed up to 180F. it will miss and hesitate. etc. When i first start it. ill have to keep goosing the gas slightly so it doesnt stall on me.
And it bucks real bad, If im driving and im not accelerating. and let the car just decelerate in gear. it will buck all over the place.
What could be causing these vibrations?
I hear slight metal rattling in my engine i think. could some sort of bearing somewhere be bad? i dont know anything about internals in a shortblock. Its very quiet. ill try and make a video if anybody is interested. its definately not the lifters. those went bad on me once, that was a very loud tick. this is a quiet little rattle.
could my crank be warped from running with a warped flywheel for a while?
Could it all be in the ****ty stock computer? Do you think having a dyno burn a custom chip would solve some of the vibrations? or at least the missing and bucking etc?
Any opinions are appreciated
