bad vibrations

Recently I installed a T5 and then took it to a shop to have my new rear installed. Everything is new or freshly rebuilt, except the axles. After they put in the rear and went for a test drive they noticed a vibration at approx. 55 mph on up. I had them take out the driveshaft so I could have it spun again to make sure it was OK and it is. Pinion angle is correct as well. They think one of the axles may be slightly bent. What do you guys think?

Could be a bent axle. Have someone follow behind you, if it's bent significantly they will be able to see a wobble.

Have your wheel ballance checked also. I know you didn't do anything with rims/tires, but you never know. Could have lost a weight or something during the whole process.

Is the vibration present when you're on the gas or off the gas or both? If the vibration is while you're on the gas, most likely a driveline problem. I had a similar problem on my automatic Camaro. It was my tranny causing a vibration at certain speeds only while on the gas. I went through the alignment/balance thing first to no avail.

It's both but disappears when the speed decreases.

I got my car back from the shop on Sat. (not done yet but I kinda had to cause we got a few inches of snow today) and took it home. Once I hit about 50 the whole car starts vibrating and gets worse as the speed increases but goes away after the speed drops down. I'm beginning to think that the 3rd member has a bad bearing or was just plain rebuilt incorrectly. I don't know a whole lot about rears. Anyone have any other suggestions?
