This kit has been out for a while, so is anyone running it?

Apparently you can get it in a solid plain faced rotor which is attractive to me.

I was going to do the Cobra disk upgrade in the rear but i don't want to pull axles on a car i just drive in the street. The baer kit is a 1 hout bolt-on and will satisfy my purpose of filling the rear wheels with rotor.

I've heard of problems with clicking noises with the rotors, but i think that was with the slotted and drilled rotors. I will get plain so maybe i won't have that problem.

Also, how's the e-brake???

Brakes

There's a good writeup on it:

I put them on myself and they look pretty sweet. The writeup is pretty acurate, i didn't have to trim my groan bracket though. I also had to shave the banjo bolt on the caliper because it was scraping the inside of the stock rim. My rear brakes do click, and they are slotted and drilled, but i think it is because of the metal cover on the pads, i forgot to put brake quiet on it. I took the cover on the outside pad off and they didn't click near as bad, its hardly noticeable, i didn't feel like taking the rotor off to get to the inside pad. I'll know more about the click next week when i put the hawks on.

The ebrake was tight and dragged for awhile untill i was able to stretch the cable out, i just yanked it really hard everytime i parked for a week.

Seraphitia had this installed on her mustang..she posted pics.
I wanted this kit but read alot of people complaining about the install problems with the e brake cable...but the 13" in the rear looks much better so its a tough choice.

Yeah that's my issue as well. I need a good e-brake since i live on a hill.

I just can't decide if i should leave the rears alone, do the Cobra upgrade or the Baer upgrade.

By the way, does anyone know how to get rid of that "zinging" noise that comes from the cross-drills on the Baer rear 13" kit?

I just put mine on, when u brake ur talking about that swoosh sound kind of like when rub like ur shoes to a nice squeaky clean floor. I cant explain it but there is a sound.

a friend of mine had the swoosh noise when he put drilled rotors in the back of his jeep. he took off the OEM pads and used monroe's and the noise went away.

its from the pads hitting the holes, and moving the air thats in/around the holes i think.

Im using different pads than OEM and yes I have cross drilled rotors. I dont really care about the noise. I just have that brake drag like I have to give it more gas for some reason, but nothing is grinding.
