balancer

My question is that iam building a 331 stroker that is 28oz balance.Do i need to run some type of spacer between the balancer and the crank pulley to make it all line up?thanks

On FRPP 347 crate motor you need one, I imagine for the 331 stroker you would as well.

It may depend on what type of balancer you are using. My mechanic will use 2 brands.
FMS, and ATI.

FMS makes the spacers for the ford balancers, i don't think the ati needs one.

This is a real pita issue.

I used a Fluidamper, and they had me buy a March spacer for it. Fit perfectly and works.

ATI also requires a spacer.

Only stock Ford units have the pulley mount integral with the balancer that I can find.

ATI seems to have a handle on it, as I called them last week.
