I just took out my car after building it and have a bad vibration in mid 3000 rpms. I am using the stock 93 style balancer and flywheel. I am now aware that these are the wrong components. The guys at ford racing said I need to use a 28 ounce balancer and that I have a 50 ounce on the car. I need to oreder parts to solve my issue. Do I need to replace the flywheel as well. Does anyone know of a kit with these two parts if I need to replace them?

I have a scat crank and rods. I bought this engine from a company called bullet racing engines through a job I had at checkers auto parts. They are no longer in bussiness. I bought the short block two and a half years ago the car build up has taking a long time. So I have nobody to call to get tech info on my engine. I heard that most 347 are 28 oz. balanced,

Most 347's are 28oz imbalance. You said reused the factory balancer and flywheel. You will need a 28oz imbalance flywheel and balancer. As faststang mentioned, be sure to get the same # of teeth as the stock one.

Go with 157 teeth.

You need to replace both flywheel and balancer; likely to 28 oz.

Do not drive the engine until you get that fixed.

I am for sure not driving the car untill I get it fixed. I have way too much money invested into my ride to screw it up. So since I cant find the build sheet anywhere I am going to order the 28 fly and balancer.

you already know you have 50 oz and you are having vibrations. For sure you need to order up the 28oz stuff.

As far as I know, they only make 50oz setups if you request it, even then they don't recommend it.

I just ordered a 28 oz flywheel and a professional products 28 oz balancer. Now from what I understand the older style 28 oz balancer will bolt up to my crank. The one I ordered says it will fit 289, 302, 351 and I ordered the the spacer for the fox body style belt setup, it comes with a spacer, I guess older crank pulley sat flush with the balancer and closer to the timing cover. The fox bodys have a raised section that the crank pulley sits on. I guess my question is do I have this all right?
