Ball Joints

My car is comming up on 65k miles ( I know, I bought her new and have driven the tires off.) and I want to change out the ball joints to Steeda's X2 balljoints. Should I stay with stock instead? Also, is a 18" wheel required for the X2's? Has anyone done this? How hard was it? What tools were needed? Anything special? What other parts (If any) are reccomend to compliment them?

Mostly drag racing with a little autocrossing thrown in the mix. I only have about 4 events a year locally and the nearest road coarse is over a three hour drive away so I have yet to see a roadcoarse in the mustang. As for regular driving, everyday I drive about 20 miles each way (40 total at least) .

I'd recommend getting the X2s or the X5s as well as the bumpsteer kit while you are in there.

I didn't see anything about a wheel size though. I think you'd be fine with anything that will fit over the rotors.

I do remember reading that at least one of them required 18" wheels, so you better call Steeda before ordering.

Ooo, I see that now. I was looking at the X2s like the OP posted about, didn't even realize that they were for the 2004s.
