Well today I thought I'd experiance a better ride with a fresh alignment....I was wrong. So I've been informed that I need to replace both Balljoints, does anybody have any suggestions?

Rent the ball joint press from Autozone and replace them with new MOOG brand balljoints. If you need to replace the lower control arm busings also, you can get the Ford replacement control arms with bushings and new ball joints.

Ok,on average how long does this task usually take with just changing the balljoints?

Have you changed BJ's before?

I'd say allow a couple hours if you havent. That'll give you 1.50 hours for the first side and .50 hours for the second (since you know what you're doing). If you run into a bad fastener, that can take out a whole day or more (in Texas, I dont imagine you'd see the corrosion that someone like Mav has).

Good luck.

You can score a ball joint press from Harbor Freight for $30 - Autozone is nuts for wanting a $99 deposit to use theirs, it's the exact same unit.

Make sure you've got everything lined up just right when you go to push 'em in/out, as they're pressed in so snug that they will flat-out refuse to budge unless you're dead-on straight. That, and it'll take some playing around to figure out exactly how the adapters on the BJ press tool work, and it's a friggin' bear to crank those things in/out of there, so be sure you've got some sturdy wrenches - I actually broke a 12" long Craftsman in half while doing mine.
