BANG!!!! from exhaust and rough running

Okay,

It is a 1991 LX AOD totally stock....hollowed out cats.
After the car sits for about an hour and i start it, it will misfire really badly for a little bit until i rev it up a few times, then it smooths out until i start driving. it will be going along fine and then all of a sudden BANG! out the exhaust/smoke and car dies and wont start for a few minutes. Then it will restart and run and drive fine.

I replaced plugs, wires and ECT sensor.

Could it be the TFI or a stuck open injector, leaking intake manifold?

If I tap on the TFI module the car dies...normal??

Any ideas or experience with this would help.

well if you tap the TFI and the car dies get that tested. most autoparts stores have a tester tand will test it for you

next i would check the TPS voltage and clean the Mass air sensor
