Banjo bolt problem

Ok, this is getting absurd. I posted a few days ago about shearing off a banjo bolt while putting on my cobra calipers. So I ordered replacements from Summit. (M-2321-A) They are the coarse banjo bolts for the 10th anniversary calipers which are the ones I have.

Here is what I originally bought: http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=591

It's a set of 10th anniversary calipers and it came with some Goodridge G-Stop stainless lines.

The bolts are way too long, they bottom out in the calipers before they even start to touch the brake line, so there is no way to tighten it up. See pic below. So what do I do now?

The banjo bolt on the left is like the one that came with the calipers/lines. It fits just fine, but one of them is broken so I only have 1 of these. The one on the right is the ford "correct" bolt which is too long and doesn't fit. This is really getting frustrating.

The bolt on the right is for use with the stock rubber flex line. The fitting on some of the aftermarket SS lines is thinner, so you need a shorter bolt, like on the left.

I figured that out now, of course no body tells you that anywhere when you are buying the stuff though. I'm going to try and contact Goodridge to see if I can get some more bolts. They seem useless so far though because their answering machine says they are closed and will re-open on 1/2, even though it's 1/5.

Just another delay to this project, I was hoping to be driving this weekend.

Like was said earlier just take it to a hardware store store or something and match it up...make sure to bring the good one with ya, run a nut up on it and your done, probably save a couple bucks while you are at it. I had to do the exact same thing when I took delivery of my 93 a couple of months ago, it has Mustang Bullet calipers. I believe it was a metric size also:D

I beleive those short banjo bolts are actually for a corvette. Unsure what year though.

I know for my FOx i'm running high-flow banjo bolts which have 3 holes for fluid to flow instead of the normal 1 or 2 holes. They are from a vette and are short like the above.
