So what do you think you’d look like after sitting in the same room, non-stop, after 40+ years? Just a little dust and that’s it, right? Probably not, but wouldn’t it be nice to age as gracefully as some automobiles which find themselves in the time capsule known as being “barn bound”? We’ve all seen plenty of the Ford Mustang in examples of such occurrences, and let’s be honest, it never gets old hearing the nostalgic tales of these cars.

This go ’round, it’s posted up on eBay by a Wisconsin car dealer, after being plucked from a New Hampshire barn for about 40 years. With the dealer holding the keys to this 3rd-owner Ford Mustang, and having the paperwork to prove it, it seems like it’s too good to be true. What’s more, this particular Acapulco Blue ’69 Boss 302 has a mere 43K miles on the clock…that’s nuts!

The only part we’re somewhat skeptical of, as is the case with so many of these barn finds, is that the car looks a little too well-preserved, for having sat since the mid-1970s in storage…in a barn…exposed to vermin, dust, and passers by who don’t always have the best of intentions. Judging by what pictures show in the auction’s gallery, this Boss 302 appears at though it could take some fluid flushing, new ignition components, and simply roll on down the road.

Either way, any Boss 302 in fashion like this, along with the awesome Boss 429, is poised to easily capture anywhere from $80k well into 6 figures on the auction block, authentic or not (sadly, in some cases). So what ar eyou going to do this weekend–sit around? Or maybe go check out some rural outbuildings? Hey, at the least, maybe you’ll catch some great scenery on a nice, relaxing cruise while on the prowl for a classic cast aside.
