Basic bolt on thread of threads.

Hello all. This is my first post and I would like to introduce myself. I'm on my 3rd Stick shift GT mustang and I want some answers from the men that know.

I've built a 5.0 with complete bolt ons just checky my sig for info if you like. Great car, made great power. 297 RWHP.

I bought an 07 Roush stage one a few months ago and for the most part intend on keeping it stock because I'm just not going to rip this beauty apart like I did with my 95.

But I want to know a few questions about basic bolt ons for these cars.

1. Pulleys. - They made a difference on my 95. Are they worth it for these newer models?

2. CAI and a Chip. Yes I'm sure that you've gone over this a million times but I want to know if I can just get a K&N drop in filter and keep the stock setup and still use a decent CPU chip. I want my car to look stock. I dont want that giant cone sticking out in my engine. I used to think that was cool....but now not so much. They just get ugly looking and suck up the hot air on hot days.

3. Are there any other simple bolt ons that really make a difference?

My car is not supercharged. God knows I wish it was but its not. I can't tell if it has the factory exhaust or the Roush exhaust. I'm going to change the oil with synthetic and drop in a K&N filter tomorrow. I will check out the exhaust system then.

I don't want to void the warranty so the Pulleys will have to wait. I also refuse to blow 600 bucks or so for only 15 hp. Whats the point? I'd rather just save up and get a supercharger later. 15 hp is barely noticeable.

Tommy you've got a GREAT time there for a few bolt ons. You must have been on slicks or good drag radials. I used to have drag radials on my 95.

Forgive my ingorance but what is this?: "CMCV delete plates" is that deleting your cats? If so I can't do that here in Cali. Smog NAZI'S here are horrible.

And if you deleted your cats how'd you get past the CPU? OBD 2 was easier but the new system is a BITCH.

Can anyone reccomend a 91 octane chip? Send me a link? I'd appreciate it. I just want to run a chip and drop in K&N.
