How good are they? Do they work? Where do you stick em'?

Thats the short of it...the long: I'm doing up my exhaust, already ordered the bassani SS catback. I'm going to order the mid pipe next week, its definitely going to be a stainless pro chamber, just not sure if I want catted or not. I'm leaning towards catted because I don't want the noise, BUT if the baffles would quiet down the catless mid pipe to the level of a catted mid pipe, I may just go with that, to have the best of both worlds, noisey (but not too noisey for daily driving, and all out obnoxious for the cruise nights). I just wanna know how good they work, and are they an eye sore? Are they easy to remove? Anybody have pictures, or sound files?

They are good. You stick em in the tips, or in the tail pipes prior to the tips (secure with some set screws, some tips have holes for baffles already like my Magnaflows). Don't expect them to quiet it down like cats would, all they are doing is softening the tone - not adding volume or dampening material like a cat/resonator/muffler would do.

I've been doing some searching on the net, apparently the bassani stainless kits come with these baffles.

Yes, they come with them. They worked too good for me so i took them back out. It will still be pretty loud, but not as loud as it would be without them.

The SS version comes w/ the baffles, the bx(aluminized) do not come w/ baffles. The tips are also different, stainless has a rolled type tip(like slp), bx has a single wall(like magnaflow). I'll post a vid of my setup bbk lt's, o/r h, and Bassani CB.

Unless they changed the design since offering more than one version, the stainless has a regular single wall tip (mine does).

Ya, back in 01 when I ordered mine, it had a single wall tip. I don't recall ever reading that they went to a double wall design. Even Bassani's website makes no mention of double walled tips.

Well I'm sure you guys are correct then, when I ordered the c/b from ninosport the guy said the tips were a double wall on the stainlerss version, like the slp.
