catless with a catback exhaust

I have an 07 mustang GT and want to go catless. I have a pypes catback exhaust from the guy I bought it from. I'm wondering the pros and cons and whether I can just take the cats off and weld a exhaust pipe in place without any bad things happening to the car thanks in advance

Aside from a check engine light and possibly part throttle drone , you shouldn’t have any issues
