I can't decide on the Bassani Stainless cat back or the American thunder flowmaster cat back. I have a 95 GT with BBk LTs and O/R H. Which one will sound better, last longer and, give me the most hp. Any feedback will help

LOL.

You're comparing the best with the worst. If you've got the coin, go for the Bassani. It'll sound 3,506,789 times better than the Rustmasters will.

The Bassanni will cost more and last longer. However, I do not like the sound as much.

Get the Flowmasters and you'll have more money left for some other goodies!

The flowmasters will rust bassani wont. As far as which sounds better thats a matter of personal prefrence. If I were you I would go somewhere in between like Magnaflow's plus there stright throuh design mufflers so if you ever do a power adder in the future you dont have to change exhuast systems again.

If I could do it over I'd probly have Dynomax race mufflers. Straight through and really cheap. You're gonna get a drone with any multi-chamber design so keep that in mind.

I vote for Flowmaster. To me, a mustang is synonomous with a Flowmaster exhaust system. Like America and apple pie! Just my opinion, but like stated before, it's all on personal preference. It's what you like. Like my sig: "It's All Good"

a bassani stainless cat-back would be a waste of money in my opinion. I've had both and they both sound good.

Like earplugs and a new catback in a few years!

In my opinion, that's all the more reason to do it differently. Of course, if it wasn't for the prohibitive cost, Bassani would probably be just as popular.

In any event, I'm a Bassani fan.

Not to hijack the post or anything, but doesnt the Bassani catback not work with subframe connectors? Seems like I heard that somewhere...

And that's one of the many reasons I don't like Flowmasters. Any time you can hear a car coming and say what kind if mufflers the person is using, is when it's time for a change.

Dodge Ram is also becoming synonymous with Flowmaster, too. I definitely don't want my car being mistaken for sounding like a Dodge Ram...

Thanks for the replys guys. I have flowmaster mufflers already on my car but the they are cut in to the factory cat back. they both sound good to me so it pretty much comes down to price and hp.

Bassani catbacks work fine with SFC's as do all regular catbacks. It's the side exit catback systems that won't normally fit with SFC's.

I got the Stainless Version of the Flowmaster American thunder. No problems yet. I would go with them and spend your money elsewhere. You can save enough for another mod.

Its funny because VIPERn94Five-0 and I have almost the same exhaust. We both have Bassani headers and the off-road X but I have the flowmaster cat-back and he has the bassani cat-back.

After listening to his sound clips I don't think there is that much difference (but you can tell there is some).

If you are gonna keep your car for years then I would go with the bassani because of all the negative stuff I have heard about the flows rusting.

BTW, I've have my mufflers on since 1998, I went through 2 New England winters, and don't have any problems with rust on my flows.
