honestly, if your trying to be cost effective, that the rustmasters are the way to go...the Bassani system is the superior system as far as quality of materials, and worksmanship...as well as sound IMHO(but everyone has their own opinions)....if you want a beefier sound for a lot less money go flowmaster...if your looking for an exhaust your never gonna have to replace, and is top notch quality in every aspect, but costs an arm and a leg...go Bassani....thats what i did and wouldnt do it any other way...

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but Bassani also offers there BX line. It is quite a bit cheaper than the regular bassani cat back if memory serves correctly. I think it is aluminized steal with stainless steal tips. Just a thought. Something different without the Bassani price tag.

I heard about the bassani Bx. A guy I talked to said the the aluminized system will still rust just not as quickly. Is there a stainless american thunder system out there?

The Bx line is aluminized just like the Flowmasters. So both should rust at about the same rate.

My vote goes for the Flows. I just like the lower tone that seems to work so much better on a Mustang.

I gotta disagree with the idea that Flows are synonomous with Mustangs though. Everyone I run into has gone with the Bassanis.

In the end, exhaust is, as it should be, a personal choice.

so bassani will last longer but costs more.. sound is obviously different...

what kind of power gains are we talking with each system?
