Bassani Catback

Sorry if this is a repost, but anyone have Bassani's cat back on thier GT? We were looking at options for exhaust online, and found this system for about 445 shipped, and it seems like a good deal. Of course Borla is my first choice, but for $700, we might have to pass. Your thoughts?

Sounds like a sweet deal to me. I have the Bassani axle back and I'm really happy with it.

installed axle backs on mine. not much loader but deeper richer tone. then installed off-road x-pipe. now it sound like a mussle car. not too load but a little raspy. considering high flow cats. the nice thing about the bassani is you have the options. can by complete or seperate.

Thanks for the feedback on the Bassani.
Looking to get something that sounds deeper and richer, but doesn't have a lot of drone inside the cockpit. It sounds like the Bassani's hit the mark.

How much louder did it get inside the car with the x pipe?

I wanted to see if you've had any problems since installing the off-road x-pipe (check engine light, etc.), or do you have a tuner? I have the Bassani Axle-Back kit now, but am about to add their x-pipe. These are the only performance related modifications I've made.

I don't want to have to buy a tuner, just for replacing the exhaust, but I've heard that if you run the off-road pipes, no cats, the check engine light comes on. Could this cause it to run lean?

no drone inside car. sound inside car is great. turn radio up a little bit and tune it out completely.

been running with engine light on for time being. the diablo and the sct tuners will allow me to take car of the light. still trying to decide on witch one. also have heard sct coming out with sct II and would like to find out more on it. will probably end up with c&l cai and sct tune.

Bassani Axle Back--515
C&L Trueflow air intake system and Predator Tuner---645

I guess i might of spent to much...anyone want to give me there feedback.
I think it will sound good

Installed the axle-backs on mine and I think the car sounds sweet now. How I imagine a V8 should sound.

Sounds like a good order to me, that's just what I am thinking about ordering. I've always wanted a Bassani exhaust, and so I'm set on the Bassani A/B. Not sure about he x-pipe w/cats, worried about check engine lights, warranty issues at the dealer, and drone in the cab. I like the aluminum air inlet on the C&L, and it seems with the Predator, you get the best custom tune without having to take it to a dyno.

All in all, it sounds like you got the best stuff, but yes, that's a lot of greenbacks. Anybody else with these mods?

I just installed bassani's off road x-pipe and flowmasters axle-back system. the combination sounds great up till about 2500 RPM. When I rev above that and let off I get a real sharp raspy sound. Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions on how to fix it?

And that is why i took the x off my mule. Traditionally x-pipes with chambered mufflers sounds like a$$. I am going to get a H or prochamber to go with my Mac axle backs. It is the nature of the beast, either get a strait through muffler (ie SLP or Borla or Bassani or Magnapacks) or switch to a H

With any aftermarket exhaust system you'll experience a drone in the cab. I have heard Bassani. Magnaflow, SLP, and Flowmaster... Bassani hands down is the sweetest sound on the market for these bad boys and has the least drone in the cab. I got a great deal from LFP @ Fun Ford Weekend in Houston.

Hey guys,

Few questions. Been contemplating new exhaust system for my GT, I am split between flowmaster and Bassani. Having hard time finding a site that sells 05 Bassani Axle back set-up, anyone can help me out with a link?? Also I am in it for the improvement in sound not really going for HP gains yet will have to wit a few more months for performance mods.
Anyone have sound clips of either the flowmaster or the Bassani? Been searching the site for both but have not been able to find the links anymore since the server got wiped. Thanks for the help!

The Basani sounds Sweet. I have Flowmasters on my truck and it sounds OK but not as good as the Basani on the stang.

That's where I got mine too. They don't have them listed on their site, but they have them. Phone # is on the site, just give them a call. +1 on great prices & customer service.
