The BX is made from aluminized steel (it will rust). The non-BX is made from stainless steel (it won't rust). The BX line is Bassani's more affordable (although lower material quality) line.

Its not that it will rust it is more likely too. Especially if you drive in the snow. Performance and sound is the same between the BX and SS line. BX line is lighter so if you looking to save weight it would be a good choice.

I have the BX stuff.

True. But I also think that Bassani gaurantees their stainless steel products for life. IMHO, the extra $150-200 is worth it.
