I initially just installed the Bassani axle back system and i was able to positiion the tips so they were even with the bottom of the bumper wich I liked.
So I got a wild hair and decided to get the X pipe and comp cats. After intstalling them and reattaching the axle back it became appearant that the X pipe adds a few inches of length which pushes the mufflers back and ulimately the tips end up sticking out way to far IMHO. I was up at Dallas Mustang where I bought the system and they had the same issue on an 05 GT they had just installed and ended up having to bend the brackets and shim the panhard bar. Thats the biggest issue, you can't move the mid pipes very much or you will end up with them resting on the panhard bar.
Anyway I just thought I would mention it and see if anyone else ran into this yet and if so did were you able to fix it or are you stuck with hillbilly tips like I am?
