Well I see that bassani has come out with a new set of mid-lengths and was wondering if anyone on the boards have them or have experience with them? I know bassani makes real good stuff so Im not worried about the quality, however I was wondering if these would be easier to install than longtubes? I have an SLP X-pipe, will it bolt right up? No cats btw. also, would I need to drop the k-member or would these things be more like shorties? Please reply asap.

Thanks

no, they will not bolt right up to your slp x-pipe. bassani does (i believe) sell shorter down-tubes to connect their mid-lengths to aftermarket mid-pipes, but i've heard there have been alignment issues with them on anything but a bassani x-pipe.

this is just info ive gathered bc i was interested in the mid-lengths as well, but didnt want to buy a new x-pipe.

no problem, but dont take what i said for gospel. im sure there are guys out there with bassani mid-lenghts and different brand mid-pipes. its just when i was researching them, those are the issues i came across.

i figured mid-lengths would still give me decent power gains, without the necessity to remove them to change the clutch lile LT's.

Good call

that's why i want them, because LT's are a pita and shorties arent worth it.. so i figured maybe i'd get gains near LT's and without the hassle

How about the way they connect at the ends? Hooker/Flowtech has a triangular 3 bolts design I think, Bassani uses a ball and socket 2 bolt like Mac I think.

I'm not sure about the difference..

But they do bolt up with the 2-bolt design. They seem to come with a set of pipes that will fit a midpipe, but i'm not sure what midpipes they will fit
