www.ebay.com for skirts. You'll have to probably check now and then for the skirts there.

The muffler and tips you could do yourself at a local muffler shop. I would go with a
2 1/2" pipe. I would go to the shop and get an estimate on how much this is going to run you. You could also check out spintech's website on how much (just the mufflers) would run you there.
Otherwise, good luck.

If you ever get this done please let us know. I am IN LOVE with the Cobra R side exhaust and would love to do a DIY kit for my car, it doesnt sound too involved, but im interested in loss of HP and possible complications. I dont know how it could work because for my id have to bend the pipes to send them back up because my mufflers are basically parallel with my rear tires.

The side exit exhaust kits use mufflers that exit to the front of the car, not the back. You need side exhaust mufflers.

Yeah you can't use teh mufflers you have now even if bassani makes side exhaust. Like the other guy said...the exit and inlet of the muffler are on the same side.

I have spintech side exhaust on my cobra and it sounds great...

Could you just mount the regular mufflers a little closer to the h pipe and have a muffler shop bend pipe to exit where the skirts have the space, and just buy the tips?? Would mounting the mufflers closer to the motor affect anything?

Spintech has a whole cat back side exhaust system you can buy OR you can buy the mufflers themselves for about $125 each or so. Then have a shop bend pipes to the side.

I dont think you can just move the mufflers up....they wouldnlt have made kits to do it another way if you could. Isn't there a space in the floor for the mufflers to fit into, so you would be hanging REALLY low if you did do that cause there wouldnlt be a space for them to fit up into to.

Any soundclips of that spintech? I gotta hear some...

I think Full length subs would then be out of the question, not sure though.
the muffs made for side exhaust would probably be able to bend/flatten better to allow for the height of the full length sub-frames. I'm going to be doing this(full length subs) next weekend and the shop I'm taking it to has done this before on side exhaust vehicles. I have the dynomax super turbo muffs, CDC side exhaust kit.

I would sell the Bassani Muffs on ebay and just get the Spintech muffs.

A little while ago i saw someone on corral did this with normal mufflers. I tried looking for the pictures the other day but they were all gone. It is possible, do a search on corral and maybe you will have better luck then me.

A guy on a recent 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords mag recently did it to his 95, using Kooks custom 1 3/4 inch headers off his R302 from FRPP, and used spintech 3 inch front exit for side exhaust. Look those things up...they might help you with decisions.

Wow! I have never seen that done. Any more pictures of that? I wonder how low those pipes hang. That would be sweet to do it with some 40 series flows
