I am planning on getting the Bassani Cat back system, just wondering if you guys think the x pipe is a "must" for the system or if the 500somthing bucks could go to something else. Im not into really LOUD exhaust just something real noticable. So would it sound good with just the cat back set up and not the x pipe? does the x pipe add that much more quality or just dB's? I have 0 experiance with cars exhaust, so i dont even know what im talking about... thats why you guys are here right?

Bassani is a great choice.. IMO for sound and power. Why don't you start with the axle back first and see how you like the sound. If it is not load enough for you, then you can step up to the o/r x-pipe.

Very true, you could just start with the axle backs and if you like the sound add the x-pipe and or cats later on. You won't get more than a 3-5 hp gain out of the axle back but then again you don't get much more out of the x-pipe either. I have the Bassani cats, x-pipe and axle back on my car and absolutly love it.

I have bassani axle baks and x pipe. I had the axle baks on for about a week b4 i put the xpipe in. Im running the xpipe with the compcats and it does sound better than just the axle baks but in my opinion the 400 and sumthing dollars could be better spent. i havent used the offroad legs yet, but im sure they would have made the difference in sound much more noticable. But either way U CANT GO WRONG WITH BASSANI

i just put my new x pipe on ebay bc it was toooooo loud. Im only 19 and it just seemed too much. Of course it was the offroad pipe, bc i thought it was coming with the cats. I need to learn how to read descriptions. haha. From the outside, it sounded MEAN and muscular, but the interior noise was just out of control. Hell, if you are looking for the offroad pipe, go to ebay and bid. So far its only $180 and its free shipping. And no, im not spamming   Good luck with your search.
