Magnapacks or Bassani Catback?

I've searched this site up and down and can't find a clip of this combo. I also looked on mustangexhaust.com but can't seem to listen to any of the clips even though I'm registered

Which one would you choose and why?

I have the Bassani CB and X-Pipe and you would have to pry them from my cold dead hands to get them away from me. The sound is awesome. Also, always best to go with the same company for the CB and midpipe - fitment issues.

If I did have a 2nd choice for the CB it would be the Magnapacks. I've heard the Bassani X-Pipe/Magnapacks combination and it sounded pretty good.

Go with the Bassani, you already have the X, might as well finish it up with the catback. You wont be disappointed

You'll do fine with either. I would prefer to have all one brand, if possible.

I've got the Bassani catted X and the Magnapacks and it's an excellent combination. I'm really happy with the sound of it, and everyone that hears my exhaust is impressed by it's menacing tone. The only time I've ever heard my Mach outside of being in it, has been when I've taken it in for routine service. I hear them start it up and I think My Mach sounds like that?

Sorry for the OT, everyone.....

You really need to have a friend or trusted driver take it for a spin in a parking lot while you listen, man.

Go with the Bassani Catbackl Its such a unique and aggressive sound. My buddy has the Bassani X and Magnapacks and its a bit too poppy for my tastes

I have maganapacks on my 02 GT and put on an O/R Bassani X pipe, it was way too loud, the idle was OK but when you were part and full throttle it was really loud, I didn't care for the sound either. I also felt a noticeable loss in TQ as well. I think I like the sound of the H's better anyways, just my .02.

If you use an o/r X pipe, go with the bassani catback. If you have a catted X pipe, go with the magnapacks. I think the magnapacks are way too loud if it's on an offroad pipe.

Too loud? No such thing

BTW, the Bassani Catback with an O/R X-Pipe is loud. Its quiet in the car, but if you let a friend drive it you can experience how loud it is to everyone else. A bit quiet for my taste actually, but i don't want the crappier sound of the SLP I Catback. I wish i could go louder

HoustonGT, do you like the sound of the UPR X pipe over the Bassani X pipe or the other way around?

Well, actually the Bassani X-Pipe was louder than the UPR seems to be but the UPR is alot smoother through the RPMs, which might be due to the clamshell design. Im thinking of maybe selling or trading the UPR O/R X-Pipe for a Bassani O/R X-Pipe.

well I am using the bassani x with magnaflows....with the off road tubes in I noticed the loss of low end torque and that it was loud. Put the bassani high flow cats back in the system and gain the torque back.....Also the magnaflows and magnapacks are straight through mufflers, this would help explain the torque loss with o/r setup.
