I want to buy the Bassani x-pipe with cats that comes in like 6 pieces so that I can run without cats until I have to go thru emissions, then just put the cats on, do the emissions thing and then take them back off. I have the catalog and can't find the part number. It also has to bolt up to the Bassani mid length headers that I am getting soon hopefully. Any help would be appreciated.

Do it...you'll love the sound. Just be sure to use lots of anti seize...they seem to get harder and harder to pull apart.

I do have on question though. Will that x-pipe bolt up to the stock manifold or is it just the Bassani headers. I want to start with just the x-pipe and then in a couple months do the headers.

Definitely do that...I prefer the sound w the cats and there isn't much of a difference in performance but you'll love the quality either way!

scalder, I've yet to try mine with the straight pipes. Is the difference even worth messing with?

No, not really worth the hassle..that's why I rarely do it anymore. Plus, well at least in my opinion, they sound much better w the cats! So tell me Damacman, what do you think about the mid lengths? Not to hijack here but I am having a set installed in a couple of weeks....

The mid-lengths are the bomb. On my car, the headers and X-pipe were good for four tenths! Thats a bunch . . . sound killer, fit and finish was excellent, fairly easy to install, etc. Why not put them on yourself? It ain't that hard . . .

Just ordered the x-pipe and got a predator tuner. I will be getting the headers in a month or two. Thanks for all the help everyone! I can't wait.

are midlengths all that bassani sells? Thats all I could find on the website. Is it also true that the headers will fit 96-03? Reason is I am doing a headswap soon and would get the midlengths sooner if I was sure I could reuse them.
