Its about that time for some maintanence. does anyone have any opinions on a good battery for an 08 GT. It is the original battery and there was some corrosion on the posts and connectors from moisture. cleaned up as best I could with a kit but the battery seems to be on its last life.

Optima if you want to go gel-based. But otherwise, just go with the best warranty. Construction is pretty much universal. My mechanic uncle recommends Die Hard from Sears.

Interstate or Motorcraft. Don't buy a Wal-Mart or Sams battery.

I always run cheap fleet farm batteries and they've all lasted at least 6 years and only cost around $70. I'll never buy optima again as I went through three of them in three years... apparently you need a special battery charger and you cant let them go dead without consequences
