Battery not charging help

I just did a 2.3 to 5.0 swap carb conversion on my 92 lx. everything is all good except my battery is not charging. i got a new battery so thats not the problem then i even did a 95 3g alternator conversion so its a 130 amp alt but still no charge. i have checked most of the wires and tried to rerun them and even replaced some. i have the charging cable from the alt running straight to my batt so i no there is no interferance. then i grinded off the paint under all my chassis ground cables to make sure my grounds are good. maybe i am overlooking something. please help i am going crazy i just want to drive the car. thank god i have an alternate vehicle.

I know that there is a wire that runs to your gauges in your dash. If your dash gauges are not working or are unhooked then your battery will not charge. Check out jrichker's diagrams and try to trace it.
