Most of the time I do enjoy working on my cars. But if you ever consider racing a car, you've got to be prepared for the part that sucks. Gotta get the car ready no matter what the schedule with the kids is that week and how late you have to stay up every night. Got no time for patience and joy .

I hope your joking with that statment, if its not enjoyable, for the most part anyway, your do'n something wrong, just a thought.

This deal looks too good to be true, I might gamble $30 on that. DeWalt typically sells for way more that that.

edit: looked up other kits that match this one and they're advertised at over $300.

Ha, it takes a good amount of work and effort to have fun

I have gotten burned out in the past. Things like having the right tools for the job really does help. But you're right. I'm actually not sure I'll keep racing, may go back to just doing track days. Break a lot less stuff. Just not quite as exciting.

I hadn't touched my car since I put it away in early November. This weekend I started fixing the damage from last season. I'm liking my new door ... really says "Miata".

I guess the good part is that if it is a scam, we all know a few other people that got scammed the same way. Should give us some leverage when dealing with eBay to get our money back.

I kinda agree with @stpete , sometimes working on our cars isn't that enjoyable especially if you need to do it often (like his race car). I know my winter project couldn't be done fast enough right now! Good weather is right around the corner and temps are on the rise where I live so now it's go time. Got to get the car back on the ground and get tuning ASAP. I mostly enjoy working on my car but I love driving it way more.

With eBay buyer protection on top of Paypal protection on top of using a credit card (fraud protection too) I think I am very well covered in case it's a scam. This guy has 100% feedback. Honestly I expect nothing from this but a refund once this guy finds out he missed a digit to the left of the decimal.

FYI this guy has another auction where the price is considerably less than normal. Also, 69 sold for that Dewalt now. It was 7 when I ordered my two.

I have SnapOn's 7.2v and 14.4v 3/8 impacts and their 18v 1/2. The 1/2 drive is not for the faint of heart, that damned thing breaks or breaks loose virtually everything it's been tried on. The two 3/8 impacts are amazing though. The 7.2 was bought in 2012, and when the batteries started to fade I bought the 14.4 because it was cheaper than two new 7.2 batteries and came with two batteries. Both of the 3/8 have variable triggers and are capable of a soft enough touch to put license plate screws in plastic bumpers without damaging anything, while also being able to tighten things down to the point I'm not worried about them coming loose (some things more so than others, especially with the little 7.2).

The power tool I seem to use the most these days is my Bluepoint 1/4" air ratchet. Every damned thing on modern engines seals with RTV and only torques to 15-20lb/ft or so.
