well its about time i change to a new batterie. I'm thinking of something decent and to to exspensive. I was acually planing on goin to sears but i don't know the difference between any choices.

FYI i have a pullie on the alternator. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

thanks in advance.

Search up the threads on OPTIMA batteries. Bar-none they are the best right now for a street car.

thanks man. i did a search for just batteries and a whole bunch of usless stuff came up. but search for optima battery and its all good.

thanks a bunch man. i'm goin to try for the red at a good price.

right now my car has major problems and i don't want to invest in a exspensive batterie like the yellow top.

Yet another vote for Optima. I got a Red top from a friend that runs a Jeep salvage yard. Paid 110$ new. I saw them at Sears for around 140$

I have a red top. Great battery but it'll run you about 110 bucks.

It's a good thing I have a connection that gets them at wholesale + shipping. I just ordered a commercial yellow top (best of the best...and HEAVY) for $100 shipped!

Thats the prob with optimas they weigh twice as much as a regular battery, but worth it imo. If u dont care about weight then go with one btw they went up $40 dollars in the past month they were $119 for the longest time now they are $169 at pepboys.
