I was wondering if it is possible to relocate the battery to under the back seat instead of having it in the trunk. I go to a lot of car shows and I think that box would not look too great. Let me know whatcha think!

Not opinions dont matter much but,........when I did my rear-seat delete, it didn't seem that there was too much space. I guess if you can find a battery no taller than 5 - 6 in. then you might have a chance. It's been so long ago since I have seen under there, you might be able to pull it off....

ya i know the gel type batterys are spill proof but i dunno if i would want them just chilling under the seat. i would still want it in some kind of contained box. even if it was just one of those cheap $20 battery boxes from sears

I"ve seen pictures of a mustang that has 2 batteries under the rear seat.....not sure why 2 battereis....but it can be done.

Those two large silver things above the batteries might draw a WEE bit of power.:D
Something like 8800 Watts... I like to watch movies in the car.. So I needed a extreme reserve capacity...
The batteries used are stinger sp800's... Very Powerful batts..

what about at the track? I have "only" 2200 watts, so i may only use one battery and a cap., but i'm wondering about the track regulations. Don't i need a box? I doubt one would fit in there. Anyone have a book with the regs. in it?

what the tech guys don't see they don't know about hehe...j/k

EXACTLY!!! I autocross, and the tech's have never even asked where my battery is, even though it is obviously missing from the engine compartment...
The batteries are actually mounted down.. The battery is actually all red, the black you see is a sleeve that they come with that has a flange on the bottom...

I will post more pics of these batteries on monday because I have to put about $1000 worth in a friends truck...

I just recently mounted mine in the trunk, looks pretty clean IMO. Of course I need to clean up the wires some more going to get different cable ends for that but it is different then mounting it in some ugly box.

I'm running these terminals now... They are tits....

Hey first off thats a nice stang you have, do you have any more pics of your audio set-up, list of equipment? I was also wondering what Alphasonik amps you have because the biggest mono block that I know of is their PMA1000HCA which is a high current amp but even it only puts out 3000 watts(Which is a lot of power!) but even two of those wouldnt be near 8800w...but I could be wrong. Also a word of advice from someone that builds custom systems, Make sure that you watch those movies with the car running because you wont notice it at first but even with the two extra stinger batts you will overwork and eventually burn out your alternator from trying to refill them over and over. Im running three amps, two yellow top optimas and a custom built Iraggi 220 amp alt. in my stang and the Alt. companies owner told me that even with his high amp alternator, never to run the system with the car turned off...or I could burn up the alt prematurely, that "the alternator is only made to sustain the batteries voltage under high current draw not to charge them".
I used to play my music all the time with my car off when I had the stock alt, and since Iv changed to my new one a lot of problems that I was having stoped, my guess is the stock one is almost dead.

About the batteries under the seat, the ones that turbogt has are very short batteries compared to normal ones... You can use any sealed drycell like the optima yellow/red/blue tops and mount it under your back seat on its side as long as you have the clearance for it. I mounted one on its side, under the back seat of a chevy truck for a masive system once without any problems.
