if my tranny guy can't work out the problem i have with my tranny, i am going to have one installed. don lasota (www.lasotaracing.com) uses them and says they do their job very well. that is good enough for me.

That TCS looks pretty handy but was I reading it right when it said its not designed for cars that already feature electronic controls? Im pretty sure theyre still working on a version for 94 - 95 GTs to get around the fact that the PCM needs to see the input from the tranny. Im going to check it out again trying to readi t between jobs at work.

Like BlackVert said, we've had a few on different cars, installed a few on customers cars and I'm currently running one in my Gen 1 turbo Lightning. They will work with a 94-95, you just need either a manual PCM or a chip to turn the auto functions off. The only drawback i have found is there is a set converter lockup delay so when you are at the strip, it does not lock fast enough.

Im just looking for something for street use and was looking into the TCS and valve body recal. Will it get rid of the sloppy shifting that the stock AODE is prone to?

It'll help. But a much easier and cheaper way to uise a 'two step process - 1) modify the valve body and 2) get a chip. The valve body mod is the "J-Mod" - http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/index.html it's something you can do yourself and it's pretty cheap. Along with that get a chip from someone who knows these trannies so you can make the shifts more positive and take the various delays out of it. We do lots of chips just for the tranny side of the vehicle on otherwise stock cars.

I like the system. I was looking for a tuned/matched system (shock/struts, springs and sway bar)and this one fit the bill at a great price. Some might find the ride stiff but at speed and through the twisties it's great. You will have to modify the strut tower or install C&C plates to get a proper alignment. The drop is about 1".

Not to steal the article away, but what are the costs of getting a chip for this from your company, Don?

Thanks!
