BBK SSI intake

Does anyone know why the BBK SSI intake is only good for 5.0's up to 1993? The only thing I can think of is hood clearance with the 95 Cobra.

With cowl hood and an inlet adaptor it would probably work.

With a 2.5" aftermarket hood you will clear. The intake hit my friends stock hood on a '92 so he removed the hood liner and he even needs a new hood or tighter motor mounts so that the intake does not hit one of the cross braces under the hood.

Has to be hood clearance,

Mine is rubbing pretty good on my stock '89 hood.
