bbk coldair w/ pro-m plastic 80mm MAF?

Hey team (haha, sounds like I'm writing emails to work!), I've got a 80mm MAF (pro-m plastic one, the new style) with a big mouth K&N.. I'm wondering if the BBK cold-air bolts up to this or is the opening sized differently? I "heard" a rumour that this 80mm didn't work with BBK so if anyone has this setup let me know, any pics of the BBK installed too? (I'm not doing it for the horsepower, more just the looks and since its cheap for me to buy here used)...

Nope, it absolutely does not fit. The BBK looks incredibly small compared to the Pro-M meter. I have the same MAS, and I actually bought the BBK kit only to find out it doesn't fit. I'm planning on making my own. I think homemade ones look better anyways. By the way, I have no clue as to why the BBK piece of trash costs so much, the quality on it is so-so and it really is only for looks.

AWESOME, thanks a lot ! I actually did make my own for the stock mass air meter, but its made with 3" tubing, this big MAF probably needs 4"..

yeah, a home made one actually does look really good since its kinda shiny (black) or whatever colour you paint it..

I wish I could remember what kind of paint that was (from Walmart) that someone used to paint the PVC tubing funky colours !?

good question, its a plastic one? (black) I think its shorty?? There wasn't a choice for me with the plastic MAF so

but tx, I'll go make a home made one with some new tubing...
