are they worth it? and are they as big of a PITA to install as the long tubes, cuz i DON'T wanna drop my k-member or jack up my engine, and to me one of the only advantages of shorties would be ease of install, along with the price. I havent seen any dyno #'s on these yet so anyone with them it would be appreciated. Thanks

They are not worth the pain of installing them!

actually the long tubes would be easier to install since you don't have to mess around with the h pipe and the tight space. you have to raise the engine/drop the k-member for any header install

Long tubes are definitly harder to install on the 4.6. Second, you dont have to mess with the H-pipe with SHORTIES, not long tubes... for LT's, you have to modify the mid-pipe, not the other way around. And finally, you do have to jack up the engine a bit, but you DO NOT have to drop the K-member for a shortie install. They are worth the pita install to me, but some other obviously they are not. Took me about 8-10 hours on my back with my brother, 2 jack stands, and a floor jack. You will need a good selection of tools, a good write up, and a friend or two to help if you plan on doing this as a weekend project though. Good luck, and let me know if you have any specific questions about them.
