I finally got my bbk longtubes, BBK h-pipe, and MAC cat-back installed.

I dont know if it was because the items were for a fox but the longtubes hit my steering shaft, I had to kink the tube a bit. Also the header directly hit the clutch release arm, and the car was undriveable because it wouldent let the clutch out, i was able to grind alot of it away and it works fine. Also the BBK H-pipe wouldent fit up correctly to the longtubes and was about 2.5" away, so i had to cut and re-weld it.

Everything is great now, it sounds BADASS but i figured I should let you guys know if your thinking about it!

Just figured

That is typical problems from what I hear about long tubes... The H-pipe though... that may have been due to the fact it was for a fox...

So i take it you picked those up pretty cheap then? Thats next for me, but I'm worried about clearances from speed bumps. Buddy of mine cracked a head with his long tubes (his car was lowered a lot) when he missed seeing the speed bump...

how did you kink the header by the shaft?
I have the same problem.But..........I have poly mounts which lift the motor up about 3/4 of an inch at least.
Also I shimmed my transmount up and helped raise the tubes away.
But i need to move the trans back down and its like a hair away from the shaft.

Lemme ask.................if its a hair away..and it clears....is there anyway during driving the motor moves around??so that it will hit the shaft?????? follow me?

yes it moves a bit. i don't know how much with poly mounts, but with the stock rubber ones it moves quite a bit.

what bellhousing do you have kyle? i assume its the 94-95 bell and not the fox bellhousing. cause from what i've heard, you won't have problems with the clutch fork if you run a fox bellhousing/fork.

im runnin a fox style tko bell
clutch fork is no where close to anything.
an x pipe woulda been hell
a lowered car also

how did u bend the header to clear the shaft?
I use an 03 shaft its got a little different design and has way cooler feel. Its a stiffer steering feel. the firewall bearing is tightr

btw
i also wanted the no egr p ipes, but i still run an egr tho! i use the fox style setup on the victor.
makes a big difference in driveability ,some say no,but IM POSITIVE it does.
