Does anyone know which way the pigtail is supposed to face on the front springs? My springs are making alot of noise and its driving me crazy. I looked at the drivers side front spring today and the pigtail is facing the passenger side and it doesn't look right to me.

I bought the car with the springs already installed. The front sway bar was also removed. The ball joints and tie rods look OK and the noise only happens when I hit bumps or pull in or out of the driveway. Is there a way that I can move the springs without taking the suspension apart?

No. The front springs are under a lot of pressure and you need to lower the A-arm to move them. Also put the swaybar back on and check the bushings.

Then double check the strut bolts.

Also jack up the front of the car and try to wiggle the wheel back and forth to see if there is any play.

I'm in the process of getting a front swaybar and I've already checked for play by moving the tires. I haven't checked the strut bolts yet. Do I need to torque them down or just make sure the bolts are tight?
