I just can't see spending 900 dollars for some headers. And does the egr pipe hook up pretty easily or do you have to bend it to make it fit. Thanks.

Egr is not a problem. They are good quality headers for the price. I had a set on my old mustang and the ceramic coating was peeling off- I seemed to be the only person with this problem. Other than that, once you install them you need to check for clearence around your motor mounts, I know of several people who have dents in their headers caused by the motor mount. A little grinding on the mount can prevent this.

They are good. I've had mine for a while now and have had no problems whatsoever. Just watch out for speed bumps if you have lowering springs.

not to disuade you from getting BBK...but I recently bought Mac LT's and their new finish and fit was dead on according to my installer...he said they were the best LT's he'd put on a mustang and the install only took him about 2 hours where he said hooker, old mac's, and bbk usually take him about 3-4hrs

Yeah, but MAC's scavange too much and suck the valve seals out of the heads and cause oil burning problems. BBK's are the best header for the money. They have been on my 96 Cobra since 2002. I have put 24K on the car with them on. I have never bottomed out, they fit great. I have minimal rust on the bottom collectors from getting caught in the rain from time to time. Other than that, no problems at all. They still look new from the engine bay.

No kidding!! With the engine in the car?? I have BBK lt's and asked the BBK tek a question on the tek line one day. He told me: "If you were my best friend, and asked me to help you put lt's on your Mustang this weekend, I'd tell you NO!" This is the BBK guy! I like them, but they are a pain to work around. CAUTION: people talking about dents. The BBK lt's have a "dent" in the #2 tube on the driver's side. I was bummed. But I found out from them that it is a "manufactured dent", to help it clear the steering shaft. They are that tight.

They've been on my GT since Feb 2007. No problems whatsoever, although I've scraped them a few times, thanks to my H&R SuperSports

I've compared hight difference between MAC's and BBK's (being that those are the two cheapest I could find), and both are going to be about 1" lower than your stock pipes...but in comparison they're both about the same drop...I personally can't drive over a 12oz soda can without hitting it, but my car is low

Have you looked into Steeda's LT? Not sure how they compare with BBK but they are $399. Plus they sell the matching H pipe for 200 I believe. Worth checking into I would think

yea but you're going to spend 900 dollars, plus if you drive your car around very often it's not unrealistic to expect your going to bottom out atleast once or twice, id hate to bottom out on a 900$ pair of headers...why not get the cheaper ones and not have to worry about the occasional bump, dent or scratch...

From what I have heard, with BBK longtubes, you can't take out the transmission without removing one header

thats true but what i did and most other people do is go ahead and replace your tb bearing, clutch and flywheel so you shouldn't have to take out the tranny anytime soon anyway
