Hi,

Has anyone heard of BBK TB butterfly getting sucked into the engine and causing damage? Apparenlty it only happens on mustang made BBK TB's.

I heard this story the other day and it got me thinking.

Just asking

thanks

I have had my 75MM BBK TB on for 80,000 plus miles and never had a problem........that is the first I have ever heard of any problems with the BBK.

The butterfly can't fit through the intake ports, the bolts holding it could, if you have doubts that 'you heard it' check the valves bolts and see if their tight.

I think you heard a story about some kid that messed around with his tb and didn't tighten things up when he put them back on

Hi,

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, it was some kid messing with it and fudged it up.

I have had mine on for about 25k miles with out any problems.

This story came from a preformance shop that my Brother in-law dropped into, the guy said he has seen it first hand. But I have my doughts since he had a brand new AcuFab sitting under the glass counter top. Oh! and he said BBK knew about the issue and were doing nothing.

It sounded like but i thought I would share it.
